Bikes We Ride: Kenny's Colorful Specialized Allez Sprint

It is always a bit strange posting self related content as the person behind our social media but nonetheless it is neat opportunity to show another bike and style of our team. So here we go!
I walked into my local bike shop in 2019 not knowing that I would be walking out with a new frame order. As a frequent flyer my LBS I would typically go in and chat about any new products or cool things they have received. The moment the shop owner flipped the new catalog page to this small batch paint scheme, frame only option from specialized I said ring me up and the rest is history. Shop owners have a good way of learning what their customers like and he knew I wouldn't say no to a unique, colorful scheme such as this. You can ask anyone around the shop here at Rolf Prima and they have learned well that I enjoy bright and colorful anything. You can keep your boring stealth bikes.
I have almost exclusively built my bikes up from a frame. It is nice being able to select all the parts individually to meet preferences. As you can see, that doesn't always mean putting the highest end (minus the wheels of course) components but parts that are trusted and serve their purpose. Mechanical disc brakes were chosen for their simplicity and ease of maintenance. SRAM has all their weight/performance saving in the crankset so there is a Red 22 crank equipped while the rest of the components are Force/Rival. I think this exact combo of components is what has been on my last three builds. It works well and there has never been a single issue.
