Bikes We Ride: Robert's Orbea Avant with Ares 3

We’d love to say Robert, our international sales and customer service guru, moved to a disc brake road
frame to improve his riding (and stopping) experience in our PNW winters, but his stubborn refusal to
ride with us in the rain suggests otherwise. If that’s cowardice or intelligence is a personal call, but
there’s no debating the beauty of this ride.

Like most of us, he sourced his bike and parts through friends in the industry – most notably our beloved
rep, Keith Seed whose services we share with Orbea. With the Orbea Avant frame as the heart of the
ride he built up a sweet machine that balances quality with a real-person budget.

Parts compiled, he handed it off to another long-time local friend and partner, Len’s Bikes just across the
road in Springfield, OR where it was assembled. From there it was love at first ride.
This bike’s balance of performance, style and sensibility are reflections of the balanced, fun-loving and
